Janjira Thai Lime & Ginger Sugar Milky Body Scrub Review | Katikins

Hey Guys,

I'm super excited to write this post today cause I know I haven't really done a proper post in ages. Anyways today I wanted to review a new product I have just tried out from a brand called Janjira. I must admit I am a bit body scrub obsessed and was so excited to try this one out when they kindly sent it to me along with a face mask that I'll be reviewing soon as well. The overall packaging of the product I think is so well done and very beautiful and smells so incredible. Its Thai Line and Ginger scented and I found that the scent lingered on my skin for a good few hours afterwards which I was really pleased with.

I checked on the website to see what Janjira says about the product and it claims these benefits

 - Buffs away dead skin cells

 - Skin is smoother and brighter

 - Uplifting and invigorating scent

 - Maintains skin's moisture

 - Reduces the appearance of skin discolouration

 - Improvement in the texture and condition of skin

 - Anti-oxidant properties

 

I must agree with these benefits they claim because after I used it my skin felt so soft and supple and extremely moisturised which I find super beneficial for me cause I suffer with very dry skin and occasionally will have eczema breakouts due to the fact by skin is so sensitive. Luckily this product didn't flare up my skin at all which was amazing but I can only speak for myself here cause everyone skin is different and what might work okay with my sensitive skin might not work for your skin so always be careful.

Overall I would honestly really recommend this product and trust me I have tried so many body scrubs and I really think this one is amazing and really worth picking up and trying. My Style Crush : Kendall Jenner

So next up on my style crush series we have Kendall Jenner. I am obsessed with her at the moment especially after I saw a photo of her 21st birthday dress, which was hot fire by the way and I have pretty much been stalking her style since then. My Lipstick Collection | Katikins

Hi everyone, this is just a super quick post showing you my lipstick collection and how I organise it. It also includes my lip glosses, lip liners and liquid lipsticks. I got this clear makeup organiser from tk maxx last Christmas, they have loads of options available for different types of makeup or beauty storage in general. Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick Review and Swatches | Katikins

So a few months back I bought a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick after hearing very good reviews on them. I picked up the shade night crimson which I thought was super pretty and perfect for the winter season. It's a deep purple red shade with a stain finish as I would say it has got a bit of sheen off it. 

The formula itself does glide on to the lips very effortlessly and is not streaky in the slightest. The pigment I personally thought would be a bit darker from what it looked like in the component compared to on the skin but the colour none the less is gorgeous. 

One think you also have to give the company props to is their packaging, its divine especially for the people like myself who are still obsessed with rose gold, it just looks so luxurious but comes with a more expensive price tag as one would expect from high end company it retails for £23.00. 

Overall if its within your price limits and you are willing to bite the bullet I would definitely recommend you pick one up and give it a try even if it is just to look at its beauty.

Style Crush | Desi Perkins

I have been loving Desi Perkins style, she is one of my favourite youtubers and is absolutely gorgeous and makes me want to cry every time I see a photo of her. So I thought I would just share a quick post and show some of my favourite looks she has done in the past.

Kat Von D Metal Matte Palette Review | Katikins

  So I was recently in Florida for the first time ever with my family, sidenote -it was amazing. Luckily we had time to pop into sephora and it was literally the best thing id ever seen in my life. Sadly in the UK we don't have a sephora and I think we should all sign a petition for them to open one up here, cause its so annoying we haven't got one, especially cause they have all these exclusive brands that we cant get are hands on. Anyway back to the point, when I was fortunate enough to be there  I picked up the Kat Von D new metal matte palette, literally the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

  I bought the palette in hope it would inspire me to inject a little more colour in to my eye looks. One thing I do love is that it has a range of neutrals and a few brighter coloured eyeshadows so you really can experiment  The Palette has 22 eyeshadows in it in total, 9 of which are metal which basically means they are super high pigment shimmery glittery deliciousness and the rest of the colours are mattes. The matte shadows are super creamy and blend like a dream and I didn't have a problem with any of the matte shades at all. Although one of the metals i did think was not just as pigmented and shimmery as the rest and that one was volt.

  This palette is 60 dollars which was quite the burn to my wallet when I came to the till but you are getting a lot of shadows for the price bare in mind. So I have just inserted some photos of the palette and a few swatches. Thanks for reading and I do really recommend the palette.

Restarting My Youtube Channel?

       As much as I love blogging, I feel like I've been slacking on my blog for quite some time now as sometimes I find it hard to put exactly what I want to say into written words, I am much more of a talker and if you've been around long enough you will remember I had a youtube channel about a year ago, at first it was awful horrendous lighting and camera quality and then someone found out that I really didn't want too find out, so I immediately deleted all my videos. As some of you may know if you have youtube channels its very hard to take yourself seriously when you only have a handful of subscribers  you almost feel like your talking to yourself which can  make you feel a like a bit of a loser, but the real question is am I loser? thinking back it took me a lot of courage an confidence to put up those videos when no one was watching at risk of being tormented , bullied or made fun of, its made me think I was having so much fun when I was making videos I loved the whole process filming, editing the whole lot, so why should I have stopped, I'm not saying I would no longer be scared if someone found out because I would but I think I should just try again for me and for those of you who want to see it, what do you say, should I?

My Style Crush : Pia Mia

Next on my style crush series is the stunningly beautiful (like every time I see her I want to cry) Pia Mia, first of all I'm kind of obsessed with her new single do it again and its constantly stuck in my head but I just love her general street style, I think she looks so bomb, so I chose a couple of photos again to share with you!

My Style Crush : Nina Dobrev

                             Another day, another style crush, this time being the ever so gorgeous Nina Dobrev. I started watching the vampire diaries about 2 months ago and yes I know I'm a little late to the bandwagon but I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Although I would not personally call Nina's style, my style, oh look at me referring to her as Nina pretending that I actually know her and that we are close friends 'in my dreams' anyway as I was saying, I would not say that my style is similar to hers and I wouldn't  try to copy her style because I don't think it would suit me personally, but I think she looks the bomb.com and she can work it, actually I'm pretty sure she could wear anything and still look amazing, well anyway here are some of my favourite outfits.

 

Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturiser Reivew | Katikins

Hi Everyone,

                      Recently I have been getting into skincare and I was wondering if you would like more skincare posts let me know in the comments and I will be sure to read them and get your feedback.

 

So I have been trying the Origins GinZing Energy boosting moisturiser and I thought I would let you know my thoughts and opinion on the product but first of all let me give you a run down of my skin.

 

 

 

• I have dry and flaky skin and when I say dry I mean dry, its the Sahara desert up in here
• I have extremely sensitive skin that when it breaks out it gets red and sore and turns into a rash
• I do not have acne and I very rarely get spots and when I do they are the big ones that sit underneath the skin and never rise.
• lastly I have quite a dull complexion

 

The first thing I noticed about this product is the scent its smell very strongly of orange chocolate which some of you may really like but I personally don't like the smell of artificial fruit but that's okay I can get over it cause I really enjoy what it does to my skin.

 

Luckily this product did not break me out, Hooray! but I did not notice a real difference in the hydration of my skin as it was still very dry buts that's fine because the product does not claim to do help with that but what i does to is brighten my complexion and make me look and lot more glowy  so I love using as a moisturiser in the morning before I apply any makeup as it make a really nice base for my makeup to stick on to and that's why I have really enjoyed it.

 

I would really recommend this product if your skin is looking really dull and lifeless because it just seems to wake up my skin and makes my skin look more likely and awake

Lets Talk About Nails...

    You may of wondered why you haven't seen or heard of me in while, and I'm gonna use a excuse that even I hate hearing or saying the truth is i have been busy, that's it plain old busy, I'm not gonna get into the facts of why i have been busy i just want to get back into blogging especially cause my 1 year anniversary is fastly approaching on my blog that's all i want to focus on at the moment, so lets begin.

This year me and my friend set ourselves a summer goal of Instagram hands I know kind of random and some of you may not quite understand so i thought i should include some images of what we classify as Instagram hands

Okay, so the first thing you may notice is they have perfectly polishes nails, so that is were are first part comes in after this you may notice there amazing nail shape and then their beautiful stacked rings so I thought I would talk you through our process of how we intend to achieve these perfect paws.

Step One - Choose your shape

There are may nails shapes, but I have decided to go for the almond shape but you can chose anyone you want then take a quick search in to YouTube and watch a tutorial on how to file your nails into your chosen shape.

Step Two - The Nude Nails

In my opinion everyone needs to own a good nude nail polish so chose one that will compliment you skin tone I picked up essie sand tropez for this part.

Step 3 - The Top Coat

Everyone needs a good top coat and in my opinion seche vite top coat is bomb.

Step 4 - Buy some rings and midi rings and stack them on your fingers and then the insta hands are complete.

My Style Crush : Kylie Jenner

     At the moment I've been completely in love with Kylie Jenner's style, although that's not what everyone is thinking about when it comes to Kylie at the moment! Have any of you guys tried the #kyliejennerlipchallenge? I know haven't , have you seen some of the pictures with the girls lips all bloody and bruised. When it comes to me trying to achieve Kylie Jenner lips I'll think I'll stick with a lip liner and overdrawing them to death, yes I'm guilty for overdrawing my lips recently its just so much fun experimenting with makeup and doing things like that and having fun with your look, which means I am finally starting to fulfil my new years resolution to 'step out of my comfort zone'.

I would probaly rather lose the eyshadows because imagine wearing eyeshadow and no mascara = worst nightmare!

Chop off my hair as I could not stand all the split ends!

CORAL I'm not the biggest fan of pink blush personally.

Eyeliner as lipstick as it would just be like a lip pencil and I don't need to use black liner I could use differnt shades

Emm I'm not sure probably sephora a because they're would be more selection   
7.) Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
